Friendship is....

Today is my lovely sister's birthday. Love you Christina, you're my best friend and I cannot wait to see you walk down the aisle, into the arms of your one true love.
How I cannot wait for this wedding to happen. It sure is a lot of planning (I am planning her wedding and will be planning all of my friend's weddings) but it is so fun and I love to be involved and support and invest myself into it.

Today is the last day of sharing a statement from one of my friends and it was rather spontaneous that I asked this young and wonderful lady to share her thoughts on friendship.

I think Larissa is a remarkable lady and I love watching her and love having the privilege of being part of her life. This week after dance class I told her how awesome I find it that when you talk about something with her she goes home, thinks and prays about it and then changes things. I love how she is letting some things go and more and more becomes the woman of God she is called to be. She starts dreaming, allowing those dreams to become reality.

Friendship is....

Good Morning everybody! The Friendship series is slowly but surely coming to an end. I only have statements for today and tomorrow and on Friday I'll wrap it up and end the series. It's been such a blessing and reward so far. I just have the most awesome friends and I don't know what I would do without them.

Today's statement is by my friend Lukas. Man, we've known each other for quite some years and he's like my little brother and I am sooo proud of him. Proud to see where he has come from and the path he is taking. I am proud to see the choices he makes and how he treats his cute and lovely girlfriend.

Friendship is....

Hello Friends, I know it is already Tuesday... sorry for the delay (and hey there was a rhyme )
My weekend was so much fun. We had what we call Heaven's Rhythm on Saturday night and I love seeing a room filled with young people who worship God.
Also I have just been enjoying this gorgeous Spring weather. I was just soaking it in, smelling the trees, hearing the sound of nature - is there anything better? It lightens your soul and gives you rest. I love how beautiful God made nature that we may dwell and enjoy...
And today it is raining cats and dogs and I love it. It is just beautiful and I know it will make everything look even greener.

But... of course we're still talking about Friendship and today I am sharing a statement by Dominic. Now this is kind of an interesting story because Dominic has just grown really close to us especially over the last two to three years and I love seeing how he is growing spiritually and God is showing him his place and his calling. And I am certain that there is a great calling and something big still coming!

Friendship is....

I know I know I haven't posted anything yesterday but to be honest I was outside enjoying this gorgeous spring weather and watched this movie last night. Defnitely one of my absolute favorites. Beautiful!

Today's Friendship is... statement is by Melina who wrote this, this and that on this blog for the Friendship series. We've been friends for almost six years now and I feel like our friendship is just getting deeper and deeper. We have been sharing an appartment now for over a year and it is only getting better. At first I was really afraid of sharing an appartment with my best friend, afraid it would not be good for the friendship. But I have been proven wrong. And the great thing is, just when you think a friendship could not become deeper and more intimate, there is one conversation and you reach an even deeper level. That is how friendship should be!

Last weekend we traveled to Sctoland together so to already give you a little taste of our time there I am posting a Scotland picture along with her statement.

Friendship is....

Yet another day for me to share some Friendship is... statement. I like this series as it gives me to opportunity to post something small, inspiring every day. Plus... my friends are awesome and I value their thoughts so much!

Clarissa and I Summer 2010

Today's statement is by the gorgeous Clarissa who his dating this awesome guy! Anyways... the first memories I have with her date back to when I was maybe 10 or so. We would be at Sunday school together and she would sit on my lap and yes I still remember the silver and black ring she always wore. Funny. From all my best friends I guess she's the one I've known the longest. We have definitely gone through many seasons together and one thing always remained the same: LOVE. FRIENDSHIP. FORGIVENESS. I love Clarissa. She's one faithful, loving and awesome woman and I belsieve grant things are still ahead of her.

So here's what she says Friendship is...

"...a place where I can be myself with my strengths and weaknesses. A place where I do not stay the way I am, but a place where we sharpen each other and grow. A place which makes me a better person!
When I think about Friendship, I think of honesty and trust. To be honest to say what needs to be said not only what the other person wants to hear, yet trusting that it is said and meant in love and will be received with love."

Friendship is....

I hope you all enjoyed a beautiful spring weekend. My weekend in Scotland was so great and pure relaxation. Melina and I took walks for hours and just enjoyed being at the coast. The air is amazing!

But I will report more on that trip at another time. Today I am posting yet another statement by one of my friends. Today I am priviledged to have our associate Pastor, Wil Williford share on the topic and I am more than excited. Melanie, his wife is my mentor and their family is such a big example for me. I love them very much! They both are amazing leaders and have streched me in my leadership. They have seen talents in me I had not seen and streched me in ways that formed me to be a better leader and person.

Friendship is...

Happy Weekend Friends,
I will have to make this quick because it is late and I'm leaving for Scotland in a few hours.
Today's statement is by my friend Chris. So the story with Chris is sort of a special one. He is dating one of my best friends and this is a whole other story... but Chris has really grown close to all of us over the last years and has really become like a brother for me. He is one of the funniest people and has grown so much spiritually over the last year and I admire his endurance when it comes to his girlfriend and how in the end it all worked out. I'm proud of you, Chris!
