Intermission

It has been a while since I posted some Sleeping at last lyrics but when I read these today I was blown away. Beauty caputred in words, poetry expressing ways I've felt before. How could I not share when these words are so true, so encouraging and so telling us to keep on going. The Waiting time is worth it... the time in between until we reach our goal.

I'm so tired but I can't sleep
My mind is full but I can't speak
Among the dust of the hard-to-reach, I'm stuck
Right here somewhere between side a and side b

I could call it a compromise
Or just an intermission
Some kind of consolation prize
For the race I never finished

I want to turn these tired gears
I want to feel the follow-through
Some kind of equilibrium
Something to set my watch to

I'm here somewhere in between
Victory and a white flag
Caught in this purgatory dream, I'm stuck

But I want to set the record straight
I want to retrace my every step
If I could just rewind all the tapes
Then maybe I'd find my loose thread

Call it a compromise
Or just an intermission
Some kind of consolation prize
So close but never finished

I want to turn these tired gears
I want to feel the follow-through
Some kind of equilibrium
Something to set my watch to

A new week

I am ready for a new week and new beginnings.
In addition to my Time blog from last week I wanted to share this video with you which I believe is beautiful. You can find more of their awesomeness here.

Time

Sometimes it feels like time is passing by so quickly. I work, have to do list, have a ton of things on my mind of what needs to be done or what I want to do or what is coming up in the next couple of months.
But then all it needs is a bikeride in nature. And even there to stop for a couple of moments to soak in the smell of new awakenings, the smell of spring. And then to stop and enjoy the beauty of God's creation. The green, the yellow, the white and all the other colors coming forth after a long winter. And to stop and let the new sun warm you with rays of new beautiful light so that I also will be awakened to new beginnings.

And it is in these moments that God speaks to you. The moments you stop and actually listen. These moments are precious and we need them. They refresh us. They help us refocus and enjoy the things we have. Enjoy the things we do. And in these moments new dreams are born, new ideas formed.

I pray that during these easter days may we reflect one basic thing. Jesus came to save us all. He redeemed us from all sin. He washed over us. In His death and resurrection we find wholeness, forgiveness - love.

Friendship is....

Ah... what a day... I watched this movie with my friend and again I am so overwhelmed by the beauty of the movie. What a great piece of art!

Today is my last post of the Friendship series. It has been so great and a great experience to hear from my friends and their thoughts. I feel blessed and humbled.
We first started with a great blog about friendship from my friend Josh and then heard from my friend Melina about growth, covenant and to lay down your life. And then came the great part of the Friendship is series! Wonderful.

I guess I just want to end this series with my statement about what Friendship is in my eyes.

Friendship is...

Happy Weekend Friends!

Friendship is....

Today is my lovely sister's birthday. Love you Christina, you're my best friend and I cannot wait to see you walk down the aisle, into the arms of your one true love.
How I cannot wait for this wedding to happen. It sure is a lot of planning (I am planning her wedding and will be planning all of my friend's weddings) but it is so fun and I love to be involved and support and invest myself into it.
Today is the last day of sharing a statement from one of my friends and it was rather spontaneous that I asked this young and wonderful lady to share her thoughts on friendship.
Larissa and I at the Night of Honor in our church

I think Larissa is a remarkable lady and I love watching her and love having the privilege of being part of her life. This week after dance class I told her how awesome I find it that when you talk about something with her she goes home, thinks and prays about it and then changes things. I love how she is letting some things go and more and more becomes the woman of God she is called to be. She starts dreaming, allowing those dreams to become reality.

Friendship is...

"... when every encounter feels like coming home."
